Ceremonies
A naming ceremony is a meaningful way to celebrate identity, belonging and family. While many people associate naming ceremonies with babies, they can also be held for anyone of any age.
Having a baby or welcoming adopted children or step children is without doubt one of the most wonderful events in anyone's life. .
Naming ceremonies or blessings gives you the chance to make any pledges or wishes to your child (or children) to show your commitment to your child. It is a wonderful way to strengthen the bond you have with them and brings your family and friends together to share with you the start of this new and exciting journey. The ceremony is completely personal and can include readings, promises, symbolic rituals and the involvement of family members and friends.
Parents may choose supporting adults, sometimes known as guide parents or God parents, who promise to help support and guide the child throughout their life. The more people in your child's world, the richer his/her world will be.
Every ceremony I create is unique. I will take the time to get to know your family and understand what this moment means to you so that together we can create a ceremony that is warm, personal and filled with love.

Hello, I'm Jean...
Every family is unique, and a naming ceremony is a beautiful way to celebrate that. The ceremony will be unique to you. My role is to work with you to create a ceremony that welcomes your child or celebrates a new milestone in a way that reflects the love, hopes and promises you have for the future. There are lots of options we can talk through and see what you would like included. One thing's for sure, it will be a wonderful, memorable, celebration.
